KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will implement the new compound rate for traffic offenses under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) and all subsidiary legislation made under Act 333, starting this Monday (July 1).
According to Bernama, DBKL in a statement today informed that the compound rate for the motorcycle category is as much as RM30 for payment periods of one to 15 days, RM50 (16 to 30 days) and RM80 (31 to 60 days).
For the car category, a compound of RM50 is charged for a payment period of one to 15 days, RM80 (16 to 30 days) and RM100 (31 to 60 days) while for heavy vehicles, the compound rate is as much as RM200 for a payment period of one to 15 days.
“RM250 for a period of 16 to 30 days and RM300 for a period of 31 to 60 days,” according to the statement.
