KUALA LUMPUR: Local entrepreneur Datuk Seri Adnan Abu, also known as Datuk Red, has confirmed plans to remarry his ex-wife, singer Adira Suhaimi, next year.

In an interview with mStar, The Star’s Malay-language news portal, Adnan, 46, disclosed that he and Adira have already discussed their wedding plans with her family and set a date for the ceremony.

“Yes! Adira and I are getting back together. After Hari Raya Aidilfitri next year, Insya-Allah, we will take the next step,” Adnan said.

He revealed that Adira chose to give him another chance after witnessing his efforts to change during their period of separation.

Adnan noted that their renewed connection became evident when Adira was moved to tears while performing Yuna Yunita’s song *Tutur Batin*, which addresses themes of self-acceptance.

“She has decided to give me another chance after recognizing my changes, but we won’t rush things. She loves me, and my business is also on the upswing now,” said Adnan, who had previously declared bankruptcy in 2019.

In a separate interview with mStar, Adira confirmed the plans to remarry Adnan. The *Milik Kita* singer stated that their children also played a role in their decision to reconcile.

“I want to support him in pursuing his dreams and addressing past issues. Reuniting is part of our plans, and we’re excited to share this joyful news. I’m not asking for anything more; I’m just going with the flow,” the 32-year-old singer said.

Adnan and Adira, who share four children, finalized their divorce with a single talaq on April 24. The couple originally married in Thailand on December 3, 2015.
