Customers at an ice cream shop were robbed by two armed guys
In Pandamaran on October 23, two armed men robbed an ice cream shop, making the customers very nervous.
Additionally, it was discovered that the suspect attempted to hurt the person who was getting ice cream before leaving the store via the cash machine.
A 16-year-old employee at the restaurant reported the incident, according to Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong, the chief of the South Klang District Police.
The investigation revealed that when two people brandishing machetes attempted to enter the business, one of the suspects refused and took two customers’ cell phones.
“One of the suspects then cut the wire of the cash machine at the counter of the ice cream shop and took it before driving off in a blue Proton Iriz,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Afterwards, an investigation led to the arrest of a local man who was involved in the incident, he said.
“We caught the 46-year-old suspect at a home in Pandamaran’s Jalan Jagung around 12:15 p.m. on October 24.”
“The police also confiscated the clothes and the machete used during the incident; a check was carried out and found that the suspect has 14 past records related to crime and drugs,” said he.
According to him, the Klang Sessions Court charged the individual in question on October 30 under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code.
He declared, “The suspect received concurrent sentences of five years in prison and one stroke for the three charges.”
