SINGAPORE: Changi Travel Services, a subsidiary of Changi Airport Group, has laid off 30 employees as part of restructuring efforts to adapt to shifting market conditions.

The company, which manages travel-related services including tour packages, transport, and its popular Changi Recommends brand, said the decision was made after a review of business operations in response to evolving consumer demand.

“Like many in the travel industry, we are navigating a rapidly changing landscape. These changes are necessary to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness,” a company spokesperson said.

While the layoffs affect a portion of its workforce, Changi Travel Services stated that it remains committed to supporting affected employees through severance packages and career transition assistance.

Industry observers note that the move reflects broader adjustments in Singapore’s travel and tourism sector as it adapts to post-pandemic travel patterns, increased digitalization, and greater regional competition.
