Body found in Sungai Jertih identified as Mohd Azlim Yusof
JERTIH: Police have identified the body of a man discovered floating in Sungai Jertih near the Hadhari Mosque this morning as Mohd Azlim Yusof, aged 51, from Tembila, Kampung Raja here.
Superintendent Abdul Rozak Muhammad, the Besut police chief, stated in a release tonight that the victim’s family member positively identified the body at the Forensic Unit of Besut Hospital.
He clarified that no criminal elements were involved, categorizing the incident as a case of sudden death.
According to Superintendent Abdul Rozak, the victim had been residing alone in a room provided by the mosque due to financial constraints over the past few years.
Earlier today, police were alerted to the discovery of a fully clothed body at 9.30am by a local angler. – BERNAMA
