ASEANAPOL Women Honored as Top Security Leaders in ASEAN

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 2025: Women leaders from ASEANAPOL have been named among the Top Women in Security ASEAN Region Awards, in recognition of their outstanding contributions and leadership in law enforcement and security.

The annual award highlights the achievements of female officers and security professionals across ASEAN member states who have demonstrated excellence, integrity, and dedication in their fields.

This year’s honorees are Pauvkanchana Phauk, Deputy Chief Officer, Ministry of Interior, Cambodian National Police, and Surirani Ali, Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation Department (Investigation/Legal), Royal Malaysia Police. Siti Kamsiah Hassan, Principal Assistant Director, Royal Malaysia Police; Phaik Kin Cheah, Professor, Lance Corporal (Police Volunteer Reserve), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Royal Malaysia Police; Jean Fajardo, Spokesperson/Regional Director, Philippine National Police, Regional Office 3; Rhoan Joy Cabusi, Police Major, Philippine National Police Special Action Force; Mae Ann Cunanan, Police Major, Philippine National Police

Officials emphasized that the recognition underscores ASEANAPOL’s commitment to promoting gender equality in policing and security, while also empowering women leaders in the region.

They noted that the award not only celebrates individual accomplishments but also strengthens regional cooperation and inspires more women to pursue leadership roles in law enforcement and security services.
