Anwar joins AR Rahman concert at Bukit Jalil

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was present at the “AR Rahman: Live in Kuala Lumpur 2024” concert held at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil on Saturday night (July 27).

The event, showcasing the acclaimed Indian composer and music producer AR Rahman, drew thousands of Tamil music enthusiasts. Anwar was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk R Ramanan.

A known admirer of Tamil music, Anwar was seen enjoying the concert enthusiastically alongside Ramanan.

Rahman, who first performed in Malaysia at Shah Alam Stadium in 1996, has a long history with the country. His 2023 concert attracted over 60,000 attendees. Saturday’s performance marked Rahman’s seventh visit to Malaysia and was organized by Star Planet.
