A paint factory fire in Iskandar Puteri

ISKANDAR PUTERI: At the Dato Yunus Sulaiman industrial park, which is close to Lima Kedai, a paint processing factory has had a significant fire.

The Johor Fire and Rescue Department released a statement in which they stated that they were notified of the fire incident at the factory along Jalan Dato Yunus 1 at approximately 6:37 p.m. on Monday, May 27.

42 firefighters from the fire and rescue stations in Skudai, Iskandar Puteri, Larkin, and Pontian Baru have been dispatched to the site right away.

Three Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicles, a water tanker, and a Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) have all been sent by the department to the scene. 

According to the Department, work is still being done to contain and extinguish the fire.

Assemblyman Datuk Pandak Ahmad of Kota Iskandar, who is now at the scene, has expressed his concern to the locals living near the factory to stay away as the fire is growing.

“I implore the local population to avoid the area in order to prevent tragedies. In order to maintain control over the situation, law enforcement and firefighters have already arrived on the spot, he stated.
