Prophet’s Mosque Imam Meets Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister to Strengthen Islamic Ties

KUALA LUMPUR: Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair, imam of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, held a meeting on Thursday with Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as part of his visit under the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques program, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.

During the meeting, Dr. Hamidi commended Saudi Arabia’s unwavering efforts in serving Islam and the global Muslim community. He also expressed his appreciation to the Saudi leadership for its continuous support in enabling Muslims worldwide to perform Hajj and Umrah with greater ease and comfort.

Sheikh Al-Budair reaffirmed the Kingdom’s dedication to strengthening relations with Muslim communities across the globe, promoting the values of moderation and balance, and fostering a positive global image of Islam.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of cooperation in religious, educational, and cultural initiatives that serve the unity and development of the Muslim Ummah.
