Malaysia Rolls Out Multiple-Entry Visa Facility for Bangladeshi Workers

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia has introduced a Multiple-Entry Visa (MEV) facility for foreign workers from Bangladesh, effective today, the Home Ministry announced.

Under the new policy, Bangladeshi nationals already in Malaysia holding valid Temporary Work Visit Passes (PLKS) and single-entry visas will automatically be eligible for MEVs without the need for a separate application.

According to the ministry, the Immigration Department will handle MEV issuance at international entry points for all valid PLKS holders, with the visas granted as part of the annual PLKS renewal process.

“This initiative will strengthen the management of migrant worker movements, reduce the risk of immigration pass misuse, and improve operational efficiency at our borders,” the ministry said.

The move is also expected to alleviate congestion at Malaysian missions abroad by cutting down on new visa applications, while offering greater travel flexibility for Bangladeshi workers and streamlining administrative procedures.
