Serdang Lay-By Temporarily Closed to Heavy Vehicles – PLUS

The Serdang Lay-By (southbound) at KM308.20 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) will be temporarily closed in stages to all heavy vehicles for 25 days starting today to facilitate concrete road maintenance works.

In a statement, PLUS Malaysia Berhad announced that the entry route for heavy vehicles into the lay-by will be closed progressively from 8 a.m. today until midnight on 31 July 2025 to ensure the road upgrade works proceed smoothly and comfortably for highway users.

“Heavy vehicle drivers are advised to use the nearest alternative parking facilities throughout the maintenance period,” the statement added.

However, other facilities and Class 1 vehicle parking at the lay-by will remain operational as usual.

PLUS also advised highway users to plan their journeys using the PLUS app for the latest traffic updates and to follow all traffic signboards and instructions given by PLUS personnel while passing through the affected area.

Real-time traffic information can be accessed through the PUTRI Virtual Assistant, the X app @plustrafik, Variable Message Signboards (VMS) at selected locations, or by calling the PLUSLine hotline at 1800-88-0000 for emergency assistance.
