KUALA LUMPUR: In a strong show of unity and direction, party leaders are rallying behind two prominent figures – Nurul Izzah Anwar and Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan – as symbols of progressive leadership and inclusive representation amid Malaysia’s evolving political landscape.

Describing the current political phase as pivotal, Jonathan Vela, Deputy Chief of the Keadilan Bandar Tun Razak division, issued a statement urging party members and the public to endorse both leaders for their unwavering commitment to reform and diversity.

“Now, more than ever, we need principled, progressive, and inclusive leadership to navigate internal party cohesion and national challenges,” said Vela. “Nurul Izzah has long stood as a beacon of democratic ideals, social justice, and institutional reform. Her integrity and experience serve as a bridge between generations and a vital force in regaining public trust.”

He emphasized that Nurul Izzah’s leadership reflects the continuation of the party’s reformist struggle, presenting her as a unifying figure for renewal and progress.

At the same time, Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan was lauded for his dedicated service to the Indian community, both at the grassroots level and in national discourse.

“Datuk Seri Ramanan has proven to be an effective and relevant leader. His commitment to social welfare and the socio-economic advancement of the Indian community stands as a testament to meaningful representation that goes beyond symbolism,” Vela added.

In acknowledging the pressing issues faced by the country – from shifting political dynamics to declining public confidence and persistent inequality – Vela underscored the need for bold and people-centered leadership.

“The combination of Nurul Izzah and Datuk Seri Ramanan offers the balance we require: reform and representation, idealism and effectiveness.”

Calling on party members, supporters, and all Malaysians aligned with the reformist cause, he urged collective backing for the duo in pursuit of a stronger, more united future.
