For revenge, the truck driver was slain and placed in his car trunk

Police discovered at Kilometre 26, Jalan Jemaluang-Kahang, the body of a guy in the trunk of his own car thought to have been slain yesterday evening.

First police enquiries revealed that the event had revenge as its cause.

The Mersing District Police Chief, Superintendent Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani, stated that they discovered the 28-year-old victim fully dressed with neck injuries.

According to him, the victim—who drove a lorry—was supposedly having an affair with the ex-wife of the suspect, thereby motivating the murder.

“The Mersing District Police Headquarters verified the corpse of a local guy discovered in the boot of a Proton Waja automobile in bushes on the side of the road at the incident site.

“Acting on intelligence information acquired, the newly created special investigative team has effectively apprehended a local man and woman suspected of being involved in this crime around 4:30 am today (yesterday).”

“Under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, the two suspects, aged between 33 and 35, have been let to be held for seven days beginning today (yesterday) for more investigation.

“After the arrest, we successfully resolved the case in less than 24 hours,” he said when we reached him.

According to him, the suspect tried to hide the occurrence by staging it as though the Proton Waja had skidded into the bushes at the site.

“The body is presently at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) Forensic Unit,” he stated.
