GAZA: On Wednesday, Hamas said that Israel’s “new conditions” made it take longer to finalise a ceasefire deal in Gaza, but they did say that talks were still going on.

“The serious ceasefire and prisoner exchange talks are still going on in Doha with Qatar and Egypt acting as mediators,” the Palestinian militant group said in a statement.

“However, the occupation has added new conditions to the ceasefire, the prisoners’ release, and the return of displaced people, which has made it take longer to reach an agreement.”
