Jiangsu Londa is invited by Anwar to do business in Malaysia

SHANGHAI – Jiangsu Longda Superalloy Co Ltd has received an invitation from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to grow its operations in Malaysia.

The company is a top maker of superalloys and is based in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. These are important materials for numerous industries, including airplanes, gas turbines, and petrochemicals.

Following his meeting with Pu Yi Long, the company’s founder, Anwar extended the request.

Also present was Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

Anwar told reporters after the 30-minute meeting, “I am impressed by the company’s work in making high-temperature alloys for major aerospace players.”

Malaysia will become a bigger player in the global aircraft industry, according to the Prime Minister, and Jiangsu Longda’s presence in the country will help the local supply chain and create high-skilled jobs.

To go to the 7th China International Import Expo (7th CIIE), Anwar is on a working trip to China from November 4th to November 7th at the request of his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang.

In addition to Tengku Zafrul, the delegation comprises Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong.
