A bus flips over in India’s Uttarakhand state, killing at least 15 people

Lucknow, India: On Monday, an official informed Reuters that a tragic incident occurred in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand, where a bus plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in the loss of at least 15 lives and injuring 20 others.
According to Devendra Pincha, a local police officer, in a phone conversation with Reuters, a bus traveling from Garhwal in the north was carrying at least 42 passengers.
He stated that the condition of several survivors remains critical, leading to an expected increase in the number of fatalities.
Images captured by the ANI news agency, in which Reuters holds a minority interest, depicted an overturned bus positioned beside a river at the foot of a hill.
The Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, stated that the rescue officials are actively working to quickly evacuate the injured individuals.
