KUALA LUMPUR – Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territory), has donated money to help those injured in the storm at Sekijang Parliament.

According to the Wilayahku website, the Sekijang Member of Parliament reported yesterday’s violent storm that caused approximately 100 houses to be damaged in Kampung Tengah, Kampung Mengkudu, Bukit Lintang, Taman Sulir, Pekan Jabi, and other nearby places.

“Trees fell on several cars and motorbikes, and the roof was ripped off.”

The problem also spread to Kampong Tengah National School. It all took a short time—just fifteen minutes,” she wrote on Facebook.

Zaliha reported that she returned to Sekijang today to visit the accident victims.

She also gave them a box of food.

The hope is that this will make their lives easier. “The eyes are heavy to look at, the shoulders are heavy to carry,” he said.

Zaliha also stated that she has spoken to government agencies to ask for their help in speeding up and simplifying the process for all those affected.

She said the organization included the Johor Islamic Religious Council, the District Education Office, the District Islamic Education Office, the Fire Department, the Malaysian Civil Defense Department (JPAM), and the Segamat District Office. The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and many victims were involved.

She said, “To all the victims, pray that all their affairs will be made easier.”
