Mydin launches ‘Shine Bright This Deepavali’ campaign
KUALA LUMPUR: Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (MYDIN) has launched the ‘Shine Bright This Deepavali’ campaign in conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration.
The campaign aims to offer savings, contests, and a variety of promotional activities in preparation for the festival.
The launch ceremony for the ‘Shine Bright This Deepavali’ campaign was officiated by the Deputy Minister of National Unity, Senator Saraswathy Kandasami, at MYDIN Subang Jaya.
Throughout the campaign, MYDIN is collaborating with SMS Deen Jewellers to offer a total of RM120,000 worth of jewelry as prizes for lucky customers who spend as little as RM150 in a single receipt at any MYDIN branch.
Additionally, lucky customers purchasing jewelry at SMS Deen Jewellers for a minimum of RM1,500 will have the chance to win a ‘hypermarket sweep’ prize valued at RM45,000.
According to MYDIN Executive Director Ahimmat bin Mydin, “Our customers come from diverse backgrounds. Therefore, campaigns like this aim to appreciate their support and share in the joy of the upcoming Deepavali celebration.”
“Through the MYDIN Prihatin corporate social responsibility program ‘Cahaya Prihatin’, MYDIN is collaborating with the Department of Social Welfare and the Ministry of National Unity to provide contributions to 200 underprivileged Indian families in Selangor.
The contributions will include food baskets and cash vouchers, aimed at alleviating the burden of those in need. This demonstrates MYDIN’s commitment to supporting the community and strengthening unity,” he added.
To enhance the festivities of the campaign, MYDIN has also partnered with Bombay Bazaar to offer a range of items for Deepavali preparations, including food, traditional clothing, and more.
These items will be available at several MYDIN branches, including Subang Jaya (Selangor), Seremban 2 (Negeri Sembilan), MITC (Malacca), and Meru Raya (Perak).
MYDIN is also collaborating with the renowned spice producer Trichy to create 10 recipes for the ‘Taste with BGW’ (Bala Ganapathy William) show, which will be featured across all social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, in celebration of Deepavali.
