Anwar invites Malaysians to show solidarity at the Palestinian Liberation Rally
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Malaysians to join together in showing solidarity for the Palestinian people at the Palestinian Liberation Rally, which will be held at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil tomorrow.
“God willing, tomorrow we will come together to show solidarity, support, and continued backing for the Palestinian people. From river to sea, Palestine will surely be free!” he said in a Facebook post, according to Bernama.
Scheduled to start at 6 PM, the rally aims to convey a message to the world that Malaysia condemns the killing of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh and opposes the endless atrocities of the Zionist regime.
The Prime Minister is also expected to deliver a speech at the main event of the rally to express support for the Palestinian cause, along with several other leaders.
The program will include a Palestinian Solidarity Speech, congregational Maghrib prayers, a special video screening session, and will conclude with a Qunut Nazilah prayer.
Earlier, Communication Minister Fahmi Fadzil said that approximately 20,000 people are expected to attend the stadium to express their support for the Palestinian people.
