Harith and Dr Jezamine vow to maintain friendship Post-Divorce

KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian Harith Iskander and his former wife, Dr Jezamine Lim, have pledged to remain close friends for the sake of their three children following their divorce.

In a report by Berita Harian today, Dr Jezamine expressed her hope that people would refrain from speculating about the reasons behind their divorce, emphasizing that “nobody is to blame.”

“Harith has acknowledged his mistakes, and we should respect that. What matters now is forgiveness, moving forward, and focusing on our children,” she remarked at the Federal Territories Syariah Court.

Dr Jezamine highlighted that despite the sadness of their marriage ending, their priority is maintaining a strong friendship and co-parenting their children effectively.

“We have committed to staying in touch always for the sake of our children. I continue to manage his affairs too,” she added, noting Harith’s full support in her endeavors.

Dr Jezamine advised women to be resilient and independent in facing life’s challenges, emphasizing the importance of overcoming obstacles and gaining wisdom from them.

Harith and Dr Jezamine finalized their divorce at 12:05 pm with a single talak, presided over by Syarie judge Siti Noraini Mohd Ali. Dr Jezamine had filed for divorce from Harith on June 24 last year.

The couple married on June 12, 2010, and have three children: Zander Xayne, 14; Alessandra Jayne, 11; and Zydane Zayne, 9.
