GUA MUSANG: A woman was sedated after receiving initial treatment at the Gua Musang Hospital after being crushed by logs that fell off a lorry at the Bendahara intersection traffic signals on Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai yesterday.

The victim’s brother, Mohamad Azwa Kamarulzaman, 28, stated that his sister, Siti Norelyana, 21, has been moved to Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kota Bharu and is being closely monitored by medical personnel.

Siti Norelyana will have surgery on her spine, hip, ribs, liver, spleen, lungs, and gallbladder, all of which have been severely injured, according to him.

“In addition, my sister’s hip bone has been fractured and her intestines are in critical condition after being crushed by the logs.

“My sister was sedated at around 6 pm yesterday, and now the doctors are treating her intestines, which might face complications,” the man told Bernama today.

Mohamad Azwa stated that, despite having been drugged, his sister is responding well in her legs and hands.

“She is fighting for her life; her spirit is strong, and the doctors have informed us that she is experiencing pain. I am grateful to the people for their prayers, and I hope that everyone continues to pray for her rapid recovery,” he stated.

Mohamad Azwa revealed that Siti Norelyana was meant to marry in December this year.

Yesterday, a woman narrowly escaped death when the motorcycle that she was riding was crushed by several logs that fell from a lorry while she stopped at a traffic light.

According to Gua Musang police commander Supt Sik Choon Foo, the accident occurred when the turn-table of a lorry loaded with logs snapped while making a turn at the traffic light junction.

Meanwhile, Mohamad Azwa denied that his sister was pregnant because there was blood in her pants following the incident, stating that she was suffering from internal bleeding caused by organ injuries.

“In addition to such accusations, I have been receiving fake news on social media about my sister’s death after having treatment since yesterday.

“We’re getting a lot of messages asking when my sister died, where she was buried, how old she was during her pregnancy, and what happened to the child. I’ve highlighted that all such claims are false because my sister isn’t even married,” he wrote on his TikTok account.

Mohamad Azwa also encouraged the person responsible for spreading fake news to delete the article or message that was posted on social media.

He stated that the family was already upset by the awful accident and did not need such false news to further stress their feelings.

Mohamad Azwa stated that his sister’s blood count was low and that she need blood since several of her organs had been injured during the accident.

“The doctor has informed that my sister’s condition is 50-50 and in a critical stage,” according to him.
