Suspect killed, two police officers injured in high-speed car chase in Muar

MUAR: A car chase at Jalan Benteng Parit Kongsi 4, Parit Jawa, yesterday at around 4 am resulted in the death of a suspect and serious injuries to two MPV patrolmen from the Muar police headquarters (IPD).

According to ACP Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz, the head of Muar police, a suspect in a Toyota Vios car ran towards Parit Jamil as the two patrolling police officers, ages 40 and 41, attempted to stop the vehicle for review.

He stated yesterday, “The suspect’s car caught fire and killed him while both vehicles skidded and crashed into a ditch during the chase with the police MPV in hot pursuit and siren on.”

Raiz claims that while the suspect’s body was sent to the hospital’s Forensic Unit for an autopsy and a DNA test to determine its identification, the two patrolmen who suffered significant injuries were transferred to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital (HPSF) in Muar.
