Civil Servant Found Dead, Suspected to Have Been Murdered by Husband

NILAI: A woman died after allegedly being murdered by her husband at a government staff residential unit near Jalan Kuarters KLIA here on Thursday.

Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said police received information about the incident at approximately 8.30pm.

“The suspect surrendered himself at a police station following the incident,” he said when contacted by Sinar Harian.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, with further details expected to be released on Friday.

Earlier, a man believed to be the suspect was escorted by police into the residence where the incident occurred at about 11.30pm.

The man, who was handcuffed, was seen leaving the premises approximately 20 minutes later.

The victim’s body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Department at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar in Seremban for further examination.
