PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines has achieved a first by being named the World’s Best MICE Airline 2026 and Asia’s Best MICE Airline 2026 at the World MICE Awards 2026.

The double recognition strengthens the airline’s position in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment, while reflecting Malaysia Aviation Group’s (MAG) progress in enhancing customer experience, commercial offerings and operational performance.

The awards were presented at the World MICE Awards gala ceremony at Princess Grand Jamaica on October 12, recognising Malaysia Airlines’ role in meeting the needs of the international business events market.

MAG Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business Bryan Foong said the recognition marked a significant milestone for Malaysia Airlines in its efforts to enhance service quality and strengthen relationships with travel industry partners.

He said the airline’s progress depended on the collective efforts of employees across the group to deliver a seamless and reliable travel experience rooted in Malaysian hospitality.

“Malaysia Airlines will remain focused on building confidence among business partners, strengthening collaborations and ensuring the airline’s sustainable growth,” he said in a statement.

Beyond its achievements in the MICE segment, MAG and Malaysia Airlines also received several other accolades recognising customer experience and brand reputation.

Among them, MAG’s Global Contact Centre received the Prestige recognition for Best Customer Experience Performance at the Contact Centre Association of Malaysia Industry Excellence Awards 2026.

Malaysia Airlines also won the Grand Prize in the airline category at the 2026 Consumer’s Choice Best Brand Awards organised by JoongAng Ilbo in South Korea, besides being named Airline Brand of the Year at the Business Focus Awards 2026 in Hong Kong.

These accolades complement MAG’s achievements at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026, highlighting industry recognition across various aspects of the group’s business.

Meanwhile, operational reliability remains a priority for Malaysia Airlines in ensuring a consistent customer experience.

The airline recorded an average on-time arrival performance (OTP) of 91.70 per cent for the year to date, with its highest performance reaching 94.16 per cent in September 2026.
