Zara Qairina Inquest Resumes with Testimony from Half-Sister

KOTA KINABALU: The inquest into the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir resumed on Tuesday, with the Coroner’s Court hearing testimony from her half-sister.

Malianah Mahathir, 25, the 81st witness in the proceedings, testified before Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan at the Coroner’s Court here.

For the record, the inquest proceedings, which are scheduled to continue until Oct 23, have been allocated for the remaining witnesses to give and complete their testimony, including Zara Qairina’s mother, Noraidah Lamat, and investigating officer Inspector Wong Yew Zhung.

The schedule also allows the court and the parties involved to address any additional evidence or recall any witnesses, if necessary, before the inquest proceeds to its next stage.
