KUALA LUMPUR: MARA Excellent Ventures Sdn Bhd (MEX) and CXS Analytics Sdn Bhd (CXS) have formed a strategic joint venture to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics and human capital development solutions.

The partnership brings together MEX’s network and execution capabilities with CXS’ expertise in technology, analytics and AI, with the aim of developing solutions that can create greater value for the MARA ecosystem and eventually be offered to the wider public sector, corporations and other organisations.

Among the areas being explored are the use of AI and analytics to enhance talent and competency development, align training programmes with workforce requirements, improve organisational productivity and provide data-driven intelligence to support faster management decisions.

MEX chief operating officer Said Harull Nizam said the partnership would strengthen the company’s ability to develop solutions that address rapidly evolving technological and organisational needs.

“Beyond creating new business opportunities for MEX, this partnership provides us with an avenue to explore how AI and analytics can support human capital development, strengthen organisational capabilities and create greater value across the MARA ecosystem.

“These capabilities can subsequently be extended to the wider market,” he said.

CXS executive director Johnathan JS said the partnership would provide a strategic platform for the company to scale up the deployment of its technology and expertise.

“AI should not be viewed merely as technology, but as an enabler that helps organisations better understand their talent, identify competency gaps and make more informed decisions,” he said.

Johnathan said CXS saw an opportunity to work with MEX to bring these capabilities to the MARA ecosystem before extending them to organisations undergoing digital and workforce transformation.

Under the joint venture, both companies will explore opportunities spanning AI, data analytics, talent and competency management, workforce development and digital transformation, including solutions tailored to specific organisational needs.

CXS, a human capital technology and analytics company, develops data- and AI-driven solutions and has experience supporting talent and career development ecosystems involving more than 300,000 users.

The partnership is also expected to position MEX as a strategic technology and human capital solutions partner, supporting transformation initiatives within the MARA ecosystem while expanding its capabilities into the wider market.
