Woman Missing for Three Days Found Dead With Male Acquaintance in Car

MELAKA: The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a woman three days ago was resolved after she was found dead alongside a male acquaintance inside a car at Taman Inang Sari, Durian Tunggal, early Sunday morning, Sinar Harian reported.

Alor Gajah District Police Chief Superintendent Ahmad Abu Bakar said police received a report from a member of the public at about midnight regarding a car parked suspiciously by the roadside.

He said an inspection found a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman inside the vehicle, both of whom were dead.

“Upon inspection, a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were found inside the vehicle.

“The condition of the bodies, which were already bloated, suggests that both victims had died about three days earlier,” he said.

Ahmad said that before the discovery, the woman’s mother had lodged a police report on Sept 17 after her daughter failed to return home.

He said the unmarried woman was last seen getting into a black car.

“Before an investigation into the missing person report could be carried out, police received information about the discovery of a vehicle believed to have been used by the victim.

“Police subsequently identified the woman as the person who had been reported missing,” he said.

Ahmad said preliminary checks at the scene found no signs of robbery or a struggle.

He said the case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR) pending the results of a post-mortem examination and further investigations.
