RoS Urged to Decide on BERSATU’s Complaint Soon – Muhyiddin

PETALING JAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) hopes the Registrar of Societies (RoS) will make a decision soon on the complaint submitted by the party last month.

Its president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, said the party had raised eight key issues that it alleged had been breached by Perikatan Nasional (PN).

“Secretary-General Datuk Seri Azmin Ali has met with the RoS after being called in to provide an explanation.

“We have raised eight key issues that have been breached and not respected by the current Perikatan Nasional leadership,” he told reporters at BERSATU’s 10th anniversary celebration at the Petaling Jaya City Council Civic Hall here on Saturday.

Previously, the RoS confirmed that it had received an official complaint from BERSATU over allegations that the party was not involved in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Supreme Council meeting on July 16.

The department said the complaint, received on Aug 11, also raised issues concerning BERSATU’s membership status within the coalition.

Elaborating, Muhyiddin alleged that such incidents had occurred repeatedly, prompting BERSATU to lodge an official complaint with the RoS.

“So, we leave it to the wisdom of the RoS, and we hope it will make a decision in the near future,” he said.

Commenting on relations with PAS, the Pagoh MP once again stressed that the decision to no longer cooperate was not made by BERSATU but was instead a position taken by PAS.

“We did not make that decision. So, as of today, we are still not cooperating with PAS.

“It was not BERSATU’s choice; it was PAS’ choice,” he said.
