Najib’s Pardon: Hannah’s Vehicle Enters Istana Negara

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the media gathered outside Istana Negara here to monitor the Federal Territories Pardons Board meeting, which is understood to be taking place today.

Media personnel had gathered as early as 7 am and observed Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh arriving at about 7.45 am, followed by Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar at 7.52 am.

The issue of Najib’s pardon has returned to the spotlight following media reports that the Federal Territories Pardons Board would meet again, a week after the matter was deferred at its Sept 11 meeting.

The reports also claimed that the meeting would have only one item on its agenda — Najib’s application for a pardon.

On Sept 11, the Federal Territories Pardons Board, chaired by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, deferred Najib’s pardon application to its next meeting.
