Hannah Denies Signing Document, Pardons Board Has Yet to Meet

PETALING JAYA: Hannah Yeoh has denied signing any house arrest order such as the one currently circulating on social media.

According to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), the Pardons Board has also yet to convene over the matter.

“I have never signed any house arrest order like the one currently circulating on social media.

“The Pardons Board has yet to meet. Please do not spread this fake document,” she said in a statement.

She said her press secretary had lodged a report with the authorities over the circulation of the document.

Earlier, a letter purportedly bearing Hannah’s signature went viral.

Her statement came as the issue of Najib’s pardon returned to the spotlight following media reports that the Federal Territories Pardons Board would meet again today, just a week after the matter was deferred at its Sept 11 meeting.

The reports also claimed that the meeting would have only one item on its agenda — Najib’s application for a pardon.

On Sept 11, the Federal Territories Pardons Board, chaired by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, deferred Najib’s pardon application to its next meeting.
