Bella Astillah and Singaporean singer-actor Aliff Aziz are divorced

KUALA LUMPUR: Actor and singer Aliff Aziz of Singapore and singer Bella Astillah have officially ended their marriage with a divorce.

The ruling follows months of controversy following the detention of Aliff and actress Ruhainies by religious authorities on the grounds of suspected khalwat, or close closeness, and the never-ending public drama surrounding the countless adultery charges that dominated social media.

The 33-year-old actor filed for divorce at the Federal Territories Syariah Lower Court at 1:11 p.m. today, according to Harian Metro.

Bella, whose true name is Dayang Ara Nabella Awang Astillah, was ordered to undergo the idah for three months. The proceedings were recorded by Syariah judge Wan Mohd Najib.

According to Berita Harian, Bella, 30, decided not to request mutaah (consolatory gift) or nafkah iddah (alimony) at today’s hearings.

Azmi Mohd Rais, Bella’s attorney, also told the judge that the pair will not be pursuing a claim to marital property (harta sepencarian).

“Bella receives the full custody of the children from Alif. Additionally, he said, “The agreement will be signed today and he will not demand nusyuz if there is.”

Aliff and Bella got married in 2016 and have two kids, Mohamad Ayden Adrean, who is seven years old, and Ara Adreanna, who is four years old.
