Azmin Invited to Rejoin PKR? I Was Not Informed – Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stressed that he was never informed about any invitation to former PKR Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to rejoin the party.

“Was anyone invited? Was there an invitation? I was not informed,” said the Prime Minister briefly when met by the media after officiating the National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo (NICE) 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) here today.

Last Tuesday, Mohamed Azmin, who is now Secretary-General of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), was reported as saying that he would never return to PKR even if there were invitations for former party members to do so.

Previously, former Bandar Tun Razak Member of Parliament Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar and former Nibong Tebal Member of Parliament Datuk Mansor Othman were reported to be expected to rejoin PKR.

Former PKR Vice-President Datuk Xavier Jayakumar also confirmed his return to the party.
