Piala Srikandi Merdeka: Lim You Remains Top Scorer

THE journey of the national under-17 (U-17) women’s football team came to an end in the semi-finals of the Piala Srikandi Merdeka 2026 after losing 1-5 to Thailand, in Kudus, Indonesia, yesterday.

However, the national rising star sensation, Lim You, remains the focus as she tops the rankings as the tournament’s top scorer so far.

The Taiwan-born player has collected seven goals overall and still has one more match remaining. The host representatives and Thailand are closely trailing with three goals each.

All her goals came from the match against Saudi Arabia in the group stage. Lim You has the potential to add to her goal tally in the final match of the tournament, thus clinching that individual award.

The Malayan Tigress prospects have the opportunity to end their campaign in third place when they are scheduled to face Jordan next week.
