Agong Orders Enhanced Security Control at All Airports, Entry Points

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, today decreed that the relevant ministries and agencies tighten control and strengthen the security level at all airports and entry points into the country.

Through a post on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar today, His Majesty decreed that such a step is important to curb drug smuggling activities and curb cross‑border crimes that could threaten public safety and order.

“Security aspects at the country’s entry points must always be strengthened through more effective enforcement, continuous monitoring and close cooperation between all relevant agencies,” decreed Sultan Ibrahim.

His Majesty issued the decree during an audience granted to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in a meeting that lasted more than an hour at Istana Bukit Tunku here.
