ALOR GAJAH: “She (Izzah) has programmes outside, it’s okay, we can accept it well.
“But she is still active in the party,” said PKR President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He, who is also the Prime Minister, was commenting on the announcement by his eldest child, Nurul Izzah, who relinquished her position as PKR Deputy President yesterday.
Nurul Izzah was reported to have said that the decision was made after lengthy consideration to enable her to take a new step in pursuing further studies based on service and devotion without necessarily being tied to the political world.
However, the former Permatang Pauh Member of Parliament was reported to have said that the decision does not change her stance to remain a PKR member and to continue giving support to the party’s struggle towards a better Malaysia under the leadership of the President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, together with the leadership team and grassroots.
