TVET Produces Creative, Innovative Individuals
ARAU: Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) plays an important role in producing highly skilled, creative and innovative human capital that is ready to face future challenges.
The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail decreed that innovation is no longer an option in an ever‑changing world, but rather the foundation of the nation’s progress and competitiveness.
His Royal Highness decreed that technological developments such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, robotics and digitalisation are transforming the employment and industrial landscape at present.
“I hope that the culture of innovation continues to be nurtured among the Polytechnic community and its graduates.
“It is not just about generating new ideas, but translating ideas into solutions that benefit society and contribute to national development,” His Royal Highness decreed at the Convocation Ceremony of Northern Zone Polytechnics and Community Colleges 2026 at Dewan Harumanis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Polytechnic (PTSS) here yesterday.
The convocation is being held until this Sunday, involving 6,104 graduates from Polytechnics and Community Colleges in Perlis, Kedah and Penang.
His Royal Highness decreed that graduates should not neglect noble values, namely knowledge and skills guided by noble character and high integrity, as well as a spirit of love for the country in pursuing excellence.
“Excellent graduates are not only assessed through the expertise they possess, but also through honesty, trustworthiness and personality.
“Continue to step forward with confidence, make use of the knowledge and skills you have, and become individuals who benefit society, the state and the nation,” His Royal Highness decreed.
