[OFFICIAL] Johor State Election: EC Announces BN’s Landslide Victory with 48 Johor State Seats

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Barisan Nasional (BN) has officially won a landslide majority of 48 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats in the 16th Johor State Election (PRN) on Sunday.

The official announcement was made by Election Commission (EC) Chairman, Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun, during an EC press conference at the Sultan Ismail Building, Kota Iskandar here.

“Below is the full result of the 16th Johor State Election, which was conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.

“BN secured 48 seats, while Pakatan Harapan (PH) obtained eight seats,” he said.

According to Ramlan, a total of 1.87 million voters, or 68.73 percent, turned out to vote in the 16th Johor State Election.

He stated that this figure includes early voters, postal voters, and ordinary voters who had cast their ballots.

“Overall, the EC is satisfied with the voting process that took place on July 11, 2026, and registered voters have been able to fulfill their rights and responsibilities.

“In the 16th Johor State Election, there were no untoward incidents that could have affected the electoral process.

“In carrying out electoral affairs, the EC always adheres to the laws and regulations that have been established,” he said.

In the 16th Johor State Election results, BN successfully recaptured eight state seats from Pakatan Harapan (PH), including Johor Jaya (DAP), Perling (DAP), Bukit Batu (DAP), Jementah (DAP), and Tangkak (DAP).

BN also seized seats from Perikatan Nasional (PN), namely Bukit Kepong, Endau, and Maharani.
