Lee Guan Chong, a former national badminton coach passes away

PETALING JAYA: At the age of 87, Lee Guan Chong, a former national badminton coach, passed away.

Guan Chong, who led the 1976 Thomas Cup Finals team, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Under his leadership, Malaysia advanced to the elite team meet final and lost to Indonesia in Bangkok as runners-up.

Up until his retirement in 2017, Guan Chong continued to be a coach.
