KUALA LUMPUR — Himalaya Sports has officially been appointed as the Corporate Strategic Partner of the National Sports Institute (ISN), marking a significant step in strengthening collaboration between the corporate sector and Malaysia’s sports institutions.

The partnership, established under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework, reflects ISN’s confidence in the quality, safety, and credibility of the local brand in supporting sports development and encouraging active lifestyles among Malaysians.

Himalaya Sports Managing Director Datuk Kenny Low described the appointment as a meaningful recognition for a homegrown brand committed to delivering quality products to consumers.

“ISN represents the benchmark of sporting excellence in Malaysia. Its endorsement of Himalaya Sports is a recognition we deeply value and a motivation for us to continue improving our products and contributing to the national sports ecosystem,” he said during the announcement ceremony today.

He added that the inclusion of the ISN logo on Himalaya Sports packaging symbolises the strategic collaboration and reflects the confidence of a reputable national sports institution in the company’s products.

“We would also like to express our appreciation to the entire ISN team involved in the evaluation and endorsement process. Their trust inspires us to continuously improve and contribute positively to sports development in Malaysia,” he said.

Established in 2017, Himalaya Sports has grown from a local brand into an international functional candy brand now marketed in more than 10 countries.

Kenny said the brand was developed to cater to active individuals seeking practical and convenient products that complement healthy lifestyles.

Made using genuine Himalayan Salt and unique flavour combinations, Himalaya Sports aims to provide quality products accessible to all segments of society.

“Our mission aligns with the aspiration of ‘Sports for All’. Therefore, Himalaya Sports is offered at an affordable price so that its benefits can be enjoyed by everyone, from school students and developing athletes to individuals who lead active lifestyles,” he said.

“As a Malaysian brand now present in more than 10 countries, we are proud to play a role in promoting sports culture and healthy living among Malaysians.”

In line with ISN’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspirations, Himalaya Sports is also committed to supporting community programmes, grassroots sports development, sports education, and initiatives aimed at encouraging more Malaysians to adopt active and healthy lifestyles.

Through the collaboration, the company will support various ISN programmes and activities, including open days, seminars, sports education programmes, and community development initiatives.

Kenny said the company views the collaboration with ISN as a long-term strategic relationship that would create opportunities for initiatives benefiting both the sporting community and the wider public.
“We believe this collaboration is more than just a strategic partnership; it is a shared commitment to building a healthier, more active, and more resilient society,” he said.

“We sincerely thank ISN’s management for their trust and look forward to expanding this collaboration for the benefit of the sporting community and all Malaysians.”
