The list of people who want to be chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) was given to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, on Friday, April 24. This is what Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.

The Prime Minister said that the list includes people who are fit to lead the national agency that fights corruption.

Anwar joked with media after having lunch and talking with people at Pasar Tani Kekal Permas Jaya here on Friday when they asked him how many candidates had been sent in for His Majesty’s consideration: “120 names have been sent in,” he said.

He said that the choices would not be shared at this time and would be shared later.

A Facebook post from HRH the Crown Prince of Johor says that on Friday, the Prime Minister met with Sultan Ibrahim and the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail.

On Thursday, April 23, His Majesty said he would choose the new head of the MACC.
Earlier, Anwar also went to Pasar Tani Kekal Permas Jaya to meet people and take pictures with them. He also examined the significant items available for purchase.

When he got there at 12:33 p.m., Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim were there to meet him.

Thereafter, the prime minister went to Masjid Bandar Permas Jaya to pray on Friday. The Bernama
