MELAKA: A social media star has been arrested while an investigation is carried out into a case involving a three-year-old girl who tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a chemical substance that comes from marijuana.

According to Deputy Comm. Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar, the case was brought to light when the child was brought to Hospital Melaka on April 14 around 5 p.m., semi-conscious.
According to the first details gathered, the girl’s mother took her from the home of a maid in Sungai Putat before taking her to the hospital right away.

On April 22, he said, “The victim was in a serious condition.”
The 39-year-old suspect was taken into custody last night, April 15, at approximately 9.30, according to DCP Dzulkhairi.

Moreover, the person has never been arrested before and did not test positive for drugs.
He said, “The suspect was remanded for seven days, from April 16 to April 22. ” Additionally, the remand has been extended for five more days, until next Monday, to assist with investigations.”
According to him, the investigation paper was sent to the deputy public prosecutor on April 22, and his men are now waiting for further orders.

The case is being looked into under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001, which can lead to up to 10 years in jail, an RM20,000 fine, or both if found guilty.
