94 Illegal Migrants Are Deported By The Perak Immigration Department
IPOH: From the Langkap Immigration Detention Depot here, the Perak Immigration Department has deported 94 unauthorised migrants to their home countries as of right now.
According to its director, Meor Hezbullah Meor Abd Malik, all 81 men, 12 women, and 1 child were deported to their home countries without documentation via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Sepang, following completion of their sentences.
“They were deported to their countries of origin under the same law and regulations, on average, for having committed various offences under the Immigration Act 1959/63 and the Immigration Regulations 1963,” he stated in a statement made here today.
Meor Hizbullah stated that in order to keep undocumented migrants from returning to their home countries, all of those who have been deported have also been placed on a blacklist.
According to him, the Immigration Department’s enforcement efforts for those held at the Langkap Depot include the expulsion of unauthorised migrants as part of continuing operations. – Bernama
