PUTRAJAYA, Dec 11: The Ministry of Home Affairs’ (KDN) December 2025 Monthly Assembly, jointly organized with the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM), was officiated today by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, marking a series of major announcements aimed at strengthening national security and public service delivery.

The event began with the handover of new operational vehicles to JIM, including 60 Toyota Fortuner SUVs, 20 Isuzu 16-tonne trucks, and three Hino 300 Series trucks. The fresh fleet is expected to enhance the department’s mobility and enforcement capabilities across the country.

Following remarks by KDN Secretary-General Datuk Dr. Awang Alik Jeman and the Home Minister, the ceremony continued with the launch of the Malay Language Test Learning Module, developed by the National Registration and Societies Division together with the National Registration Department (JPN). The module serves as a comprehensive guide for foreigners applying for Malaysian citizenship, helping them understand test requirements and offering structured practice materials.

JIM also unveiled a newly published Permit Entry Guidelines Book, which will act as an official reference to streamline immigration services and ease public dealings with the department.

A notable highlight of the event was the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU).
The first, between JIM and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), aims to facilitate mandatory EPF contributions for legally employed foreign workers in Malaysia, an initiative expected to improve compliance and worker welfare.
The second MoU, between JIM and F&A Production, paves the way for the creation of a new action-drama television series showcasing the real-life challenges and duties of JIM officers.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Inspector-General of Police Dato’ Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail, senior KDN officials, department heads, and division secretaries.

The initiatives unveiled at the assembly underscore the Home Ministry’s continued commitment to modernizing enforcement operations, enhancing administrative transparency, and strengthening public engagement.
