KUALA LUMPUR: The Putra Ria Apartment parking area, Pantai Dalam, was shaken by the discovery of the body of a baby girl under a car this morning.

The shocking incident has revealed an injury on the baby’s left cheek, adding to the sadness of the discovery.

Brickfields District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, confirmed that he received a 999 emergency call from the management of the apartment at 9.33am.

The initial investigation found that the baby had just been born, as the umbilical cord was still attached, and it was believed to be a foreign baby

The baby’s body was then taken to PPUM for an autopsy, which is expected to be carried out at PPUM’s Pathology Department tomorrow to complete the investigation.

According to Brickfields district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, this case is being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code until the autopsy results are obtained.
