Sandakan, 27 Sept (VoM):The Jelajah Wira MADANI Maritim Disantuni program, officiated by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Panglima Anwar Ibrahim, showcased a series of engaging activities dedicated to the public and Malaysia’s maritime heroes. The event, also attended by Home Minister YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, underscored the government’s strong commitment to national security and recognition of the sacrifices made by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (Maritim Malaysia) in safeguarding the nation’s waters.

The initiative, spearheaded by Maritim Malaysia, serves as a platform to honor the agency’s personnel, particularly those stationed in Sabah’s challenging maritime zones. More than an enforcement agency, Maritim Malaysia emphasized the values of MADANI by strengthening ties with the community, fostering unity, and reinforcing its reputation as a trusted guardian of the nation’s maritime borders.
The program featured a variety of attractions, including government agency exhibitions, service counters, community sports, “Rahmah” sales, aerobics sessions, and free health screenings. The highlights of the event included a decorated boat parade, dragon boat performances, a public visit to the Maritime Ship KM Banggi, and a tactical demonstration by the Special Task and Rescue (STAR) Team, which captivated the crowd.
Beyond its festive spirit, the program provided the public with deeper insights into the vital role of Maritim Malaysia as the nation’s maritime shield. It not only honored the dedication of maritime officers and personnel but also enhanced public understanding of the agency’s continuous efforts to ensure top-level maritime security aligned with the Kerajaan MADANI aspiration of bringing government services closer to the people.
