Ten Major Roads in KL Closed on Sept 20 for Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (VoM): Ten major roads in the heart of Kuala Lumpur will be temporarily closed this Saturday (Sept 20) to make way for the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2025, Road to Visit Malaysia 2026, held in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said the event, which kicks off at 3pm in front of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) on Jalan Ampang, is expected to draw more than 15,000 participants. Runners will compete in two categories: the 5km Malaysia Speed Run and the 5km Fun Run.

Road closures and traffic diversions will begin at 2.30pm and will be reopened in stages. All routes are expected to be fully restored by 8pm, he added.

The affected roads include Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Ampang, Jalan Pinang, Jalan Kia Peng, Jalan Stonor, Jalan Conlay, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Ampang (from Jalan Tun Razak heading to KLCC / from Malaysian Rubber Board heading to Jalan Tun Razak)

Motorists are advised to avoid parking in restricted areas or any location that could disrupt traffic flow.
