RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza, accusing Tel Aviv of committing “genocide” against Palestinians and violating international law.

In a statement released on Thursday via its official X account, the ministry said the Kingdom “condemns in the strongest possible terms the Israeli occupation authorities’ persistence in crimes against the Palestinian people and their occupied land.”

The statement highlighted Israel’s continued settlement expansion around occupied Jerusalem, forced displacement of Palestinians, and military operations in Gaza, describing them as “crimes of genocide against defenseless civilians.”

Saudi Arabia also denounced Israel’s actions as “serious violations of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions,” warning that such measures, if left unchecked, threaten not only Palestinian rights but also regional “security, stability, and the legitimacy of the international order.”

Israel currently faces charges of war crimes and genocide at the International Court of Justice, while the International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
