15-Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling From 24th Floor of Kota Syahbandar Condominium

MELAKA, Nov 27: A 15-year-old girl tragically died after reportedly falling from the 24th floor of a homestay unit at a condominium in Kota Syahbandar on Thursday afternoon.

According to a resident who requested anonymity, the teenager had been staying at the homestay with her parents for several days on a family vacation.

She was discovered unconscious on the ground floor by a security guard at around 2pm, who immediately alerted the police.

The resident said the girl had been asked by her parents to go downstairs to collect a food delivery at about 1.30pm, but she did not return.

“They tried calling her mobile phone several times but were unable to reach her. Moments later, security personnel informed them that their daughter had been found motionless below the building,” he said.

The victim’s body has been sent to Melaka Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Melaka Tengah police are expected to release an official statement after completing preliminary investigations.

This incident marks the second fatal fall reported at the same condominium this year. In August, a 24-year-old man died after falling from the 27th floor while on holiday with his fiancée.

Police investigations into the latest case are ongoing.
